Our Summer Kidtographers just wrapped up their final week on assignment!
Time sure flies when you’re having fun! Our Summer Kidtographers just finished their final week on assignment! So, what’s next? Each Kidtographer will receive a $250 Posterjack gift certificate to turn their favourite photo into art. We’re also hooking them up with their own 500px account. How awesome is that?!
Here’s a look at our Summer Kidtographers’ favourite photos from week eight.
Chloe’s mom summarizes her week for us, “We went to London Heritage Farm in Richmond where they were having a Family Farm Day. They have a giant fish where the kids can get dressed up in costumes and go inside the fish and listen to stories. Chloe’s favourite part of the day was to play with those bunnies. She wanted to take one home! Today Chloe had her piano exam in Vancouver Academy of Music, which is right next to Museum of Vancouver. After the exam we decided to walk by the museum because Chloe wanted to take a closer look of the giant metal crab—it looks like a transformer or something!—outside. We peeked inside and Chloe also took a few photos of the colorful light fixture above.” We like how Chloe composed her shot down at the bunny’s level. Good job, Chloe!
This is Lainey’s favourite photo from her last week on assignment. Her mom tells us, “This picture was taken at Rainbow Stage, which is an outdoor theatre in Winnipeg. They put on ‘The Little Mermaid’ this summer. What an amazing performance! We went as a family and had a great time.” What an interesting photo! We love the patterns and symmetry!
Here’s the photo Rory wanted us to feature this week. Rory’s mom tells us that these traps are being put away for the winter. “This is a common sight all along Cape Breton. As one type of fishing finishes up for the season, another fishery starts up.” We like how Rory included the long grass in the foreground, giving his photo another element of interest.
Evelyn likes the teal in this photo, and she thought the angle was really neat. We agree! We’re also a fan of the teal, and this photo is much more interesting from the angle it has been shot at, rather than if it was composed head-on.
We are very impressed with all the photos our 2014 Summer Kidtographers captured this summer. They did an amazing job and it was great to see summer through their eyes. We’re looking forward to seeing which photos they choose to turn into Posterjack art. We’re also looking forward to seeing which Posterjack products they choose! Will it be a modern Metal Print, one of our new three-panel Canvas Prints, or something else entirely? We can’t wait to see!
