Just because winter came at Canada full force didn’t mean that the #12PrintsProject bloggers were going to hibernate inside. Our bloggers and their loved ones braved the elements for winter walks, special trips, and family celebrations.
Braving the winter cold and getting all the vitamin D they could, the In R Dream family went for a winter hike in the deep woods of Muskoka. Normally it’s Mom who’s behind the lens, but this time it was Dad who spotted a natural frame for the photo. We love that she decided to go with a Gallery Frame to showcase the special memories her family created on that chilly February day.
My Organized Chaos blogger, Tammi, found a different way to deal with the winter – taking on a project. Tammi has been doing a Month in Photos project for just over a year now, which is one of the reasons she was a perfect fit for the #12PrintsProject. Taking it one step further, she decided to make a photo album with all her 2014 photos, using 12”x12” satin matte Poster Prints to make photo pages. Now she can look back on all her photo memories whenever she wants!
After a difficult start to February, which saw Christine Da Costa taking care of a loved one in the hospital, she chose to create a print that would warm her heart. Christine had two 24”x36” satin matte Poster Prints made from a photo of a family gathering – one print for her and one for her parents. Christine is now on a well-deserved vacation to Hawaii, which we’re sure will make for some spectacular March #12PrintsProject photos!
Frugal Mom, Eh blogger, Elizabeth, also took a trip to the tropics, but she didn’t have to get on a plane! She took her kids and her parents to a tropical green house in Hamilton, Ontario and together they enjoyed a day exploring fish, birds, turtles, and various other tropical species. It was a beautiful orchid that caught Elizabeth’s eye for a Metal Print. The print now sits in her upstairs washroom where it catches the light just right.
Looking to nature for inspiration, Whispered Inspirations blogger, Nancy, wanted to rid her girls of cabin fever and braved the cold for a walk on two of their favourite nature trails. They were met with a quiet and serene landscape covered in snow which provided the perfect backdrop for two Posterjack Canvas Prints. On the way home from their walk, they passed a jungle gym the girls used to climb on. Like an old pro, one of Nancy’s girls climbed to the top, enjoying all the freedom childhood offers. Nancy decided to display her Canvas Print over her buffet table so she can be reminded of this moment every morning while she gets a cup of coffee.
Later, they passed an old fence which the girls had posed in front of for years before. The close-up against a snow-white backdrop now hangs in their downstairs bathroom.
Decisions, decisions! Choosing the photo and print was the easy part for Barbara Milner, the hard part now is choosing where to hang her Acrylic Print of her son.
What do you think? Above the chair or on the subway-tiled wall?
